Difference between Adobe Photoshop and Adboe Fireworks
Adobe
Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop are among the most widely used
applications for web designing but designers have always been wondering
about the positive and negative aspects of these two as it is quite
difficult to decide which one is better. If you take a close look at the
two, you can obviously perform all the tasks in one way or another in
both the applications. You can edit graphics,
pictures and web pages in Photoshop and Fireworks both. Here we will
take a look at the both to determine which one is more suitable under
which circumstances.
Photoshop
as the name suggests is basically a tool to edit graphics and images.
Primarily it wasn't created to handle graphics and photo editing but
with the passage of time and a heavy involvement of graphics in web
designs paved the path for addition of web designing features and
options in Photoshop. Fireworks, on the other hand, is a tool primarily
developed to deal with web designing. As a general rule, Photoshop can
be used for web designing but it is better to use Fireworks since it is
light weight and handles the web designing tasks better than Photoshop.
However you can use a combination of the both as well to handle edit and
create web graphics.
According
to me Adobe will make Fireworks a special application to design
graphics for web, while Adobe Photoshop will be useful for Image Editing,
Lay-outing, and Post-Production Tasks in future. Adobe has strengthened
the Photoshop with more than ever 3D Tools and Menus. It indicates that
Adobe is empowering Photoshop as a future application for After Effects
not for web as Adobe hasn’t provided any noticeable changes and tools
for web designers.
My
analysis says, how one will manage graphics related task in Photoshop
if ‘Save for web and devices…” option get removed by Adobe in coming
years from this software. The day will come when Fireworks will be used
by each and every designer in the world.
